My artwork displays deformed stones, and vegetation growing within its cracks and crevices. A dreamlike reflection of the chaotic fractured world, whereas a glimmer of hope shines through its fissures.
James Fowler’s works are mostly composed of surreal images, objects, and/or minimalistic abstraction. Fusing reality and abstract vision to form a conflux that best translates his ideas into visual form. His art reflects his conflicts and notions formed from his observation of his surroundings. The current subjects of his paintings revolve around torn down stones and pillars, and nightmarish landscapes. Fowler’s art practice extends to different mediums as he wanted to avoid constrictions on appositely executing his ideas.
