“I constantly morph in my approach in painting, from pointilism to a hybrid presentation. I usually deal with issues of home and freedom. My memories of my province of Bohol gives me momentum. They are rendered in my own visual idiom to express my desire for change. About my freedom paintings, I use the symbolism of wings but still maintain my own style used in other issues.”

“When I used to work in another province, away from home, I always looked back every time I rode a boat after a vacation, where I headed to my university, leaving my immediate family behind. Now, I enjoy home and it gives me a better place during the pandemic.”
