Angel's Visit

Oil on Canvas

7.8 x 11.8 inches

There is a particular kind of grief that turns to whimsy, believing, that a butterfly drifting past is someone you loved, checking in. Angel's Visit gives that hope form. It holds the quiet hope that those we've lost find their way back to us, if only in sleep, or in the small, sentimental belief that a passing butterfly might carry something more. Rendered with tenderness, the piece sits in the space between grief and comfort, offering a bittersweet gesture of remembrance and the fragile, private ways we keep loved ones close after they're gone.
