This piece is an emotionally driven experimental visualization of my personal experience as the family's only girl and youngest child. The exploration of the media represents an open-minded person in a family of closed-mindedness who is slowly breaking the norm and generational trauma.
"Jazmin Fong Navalan (JFN) is 20 years old Fine Arts Student taking up Art History from the University of the Philippines Diliman and was a former Multimedia Arts Student from FEU Institute of Technology (FEU Tech) living in Antipolo. Her discovery of art found its way when she started her formal education at the age of four in Salalah, Oman — born and raised. This taciturn child finds her voice expressed in art. A self-taught artist who started out as a Hobbyist Minecraft Graphic Artist and eventually led her to the exploration of new media art. Currently, her interests are abstract art is driven by her emotions, mixed media, and digital fan art. She is still exploring themes and practices by honing her skills. Her art motives are about her life experiences."
