Cherry DV Agoyaoy | Kiss Me

Acrylic and Fused Plastic on Canvas
36" x 24"

This is a reimagined Gustav Klimt "The Kiss" but made into the setting of the song "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer which was released in 1997. A couple is shown entangled in an embrace, with the green grass, silver moon and dancing fireflies as witnesses to their tender kiss. This artwork was made using mainly recycled plastic bags in a fashion inspired by Klimt's strong and delicate patterns.
