This artwork captures a scene from our last trip to Taipei. With my wife complaining about being hungry and as we're strangers in the city we ended up in a noodle house, with little English spoken and then getting served with a big bowl of noodles that she begrudgingly had to consume. I painted this to force a moment of unpleasantness (for her) into something more hopeful and bright.
