We all grow up looking up to heroes. Their stories shape our imagination and inspire us to create. This piece represents the moment when inspiration gives rise to creation.

By painting my character over the comic panels, I am not erasing the stories that influenced me.I am building upon them. The comics remain underneath as a foundation, while a new story takes shape above them.

Panel Rewrite is about stepping beyond the stories that inspired us and finding the courage to create our own.
