Sibat Salakay is a Filipino visual artist based in Quezon City. He began his creative career as a digital illustrator amid the chaos of the pandemic. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts major in Advertising at Far Eastern University in 2008. However, he did not purse a career in painting until 2025. His art explores emotional dispositions towards life’s realities, often depicted in vibrant colors and a flayed character that reflects a stoic expression. Influenced by pop surrealism and lowbrow art, his pieces contain elements that symbolize various facets of the human mind encouraging viewers to find something of themselves in it.
