A shadow waves of melancholy and swirling winds of anguish covered by a facade of hope and dreams with the brightest celestials in the night sky or simply an illusion. (Inspired by Van Gogh's original art work the Starry Night)
I am Mark Czar Magdaraog Espenilla, twenty-three years old and a fourth year student of Liceo de San Jacinto Foundation, Inc. I'm currently residing at San Jacinto, Masbate. Ever since I was a kid, i already have a huge interest in arts, i used to draw my favourite cartoon characters, colouring them and displaying it inside our home. I definitely think that YouTube is the most used social media app in my phone. There are no days that I'm not watching and browsing in YouTube watching entertainments and also videos of artists making their own art. When i stumbled upon a video of string arts, at first, i was amazed of how it was aesthetically made with all the geometrical patterns, arrangement of colours embroided in the nails that were carved in a wood creating such a unique design. And that's how string art caught my attention. I started making one out of my interest and i actually liked it and made another one and that's how it all started. I was driven to continue making this craft and keep improving my talent and skills. I am also learning and trying different craft such as painting and cross stitching. I put a lot of dedication and hard work on every piece i made that somehow paid off since i got to exhibit my artwork and cater my passion in arts. The string arts i made was already exhibited in galleries such as Altro Mondo, Art Show Philippines and The Grey Space. One of my artwork was already featured in Bayan Mo, Ipatrol Mo. It is such a fulfillment as an artist to make your dream and passion be known and appreciated.
