Adan Pesito spent his childhood in his mother’s hometown in Ligao, Albay, this self-taught artist apprenticed for several artists including master copyist Zarbal, portraitist Antonio Martinez, landscapist Rey Ademis, colorist Abe Lucas, master artist Ador De Vera and one of Magic Realist members Jaime Roque. He started his career in 1995 in Mabini, Manila as “manchador” for Cesar Zarbal. Then an antique shop owner hired him to do some European masterpieces and religious paintings. In the year 2000, he returned to Mabini and continued as an in-house artist doing reproduction of Amorsolo’s paintings.
