Blurry- not clear or focused....something that is vaguely and indistinctly percieved...Perfection - the condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects.......sometimes when we get drunk...even if we cant think straight...our feeling's telling us the truth...its a blurry perfection when you cannot open things to other people but trust your feelings when you get drunk....
Bred and born in Angono, Rizal, artist Gretel Balajadia, is a former member of KAKTUS and the Angono Junior Ateliers. Known as Grets to her friends, she is currently a member of KUTA Artists Group. An undergrad of Advertising at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, she is one of last year’s Philippines Art Awards regional winners. She was also a finalist at the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence from 2012 to 2014 and the GSIS ART COMPETITION in 2012. So far, she has done 4 solo shows and has exhibited her artworks at Blanc Gallery, Village Art Gallery, Ysobel Art Gallery, Arte Bettina, Art Verite, White Walls Gallery, Art Underground, J Studio Gallery, Cevio Art Haus, and Art Cube, just to name a few. According to her, in order to create her artwork, she needs to be in a positive state of mind, concentrating hard, and then letting herself go, but also being calm at the same time. "Flow" is a basic element and an effect of her creative process. It has a specific purpose that triggers, simplifies, and guides the outcome of her creation. Each crumpled, damaged, creased, and wrinkled effect that comes out from her artworks are all different and unique and are the product of the creative flow that she was in during the time she’s doing a certain piece.
