“If I were to be sweet and cool” is my way of imagining the self I aspire to become—someone who is both sweet and cool. It stands in contrast to how I am often perceived. Society tends to expect girls to be pleasing only when they are soft, adorable, or charming, yet the truth is that women are born fierce, brave, and wise. I believe every woman and girl carries within her the power to be anything and everything she desires. If I were to embody something, I would be sweet—someone who cherishes love and cares deeply for those who are in my life—and cool, a woman who shapes her own path and grows with strength and grace.
