A self-taught artist, Angelo Padilla has been long inspired by Victorian, anatomical, almost monstrous sculptures and paintings. His art features exposed folded skin, muscle groups, veins, hearts intertwined with flora and fauna that represent the pain, pleasure, and struggle of the artist himself, symbolizing the fragility of life and its change and transformation.
