This work was inspired from my trip to Vietnam representing a Vietnamese woman. It amazed me how the hats reminds me of mushrooms.
"Graduated in 2020 from the UP College of Fine Arts, I’ve always wanted to portray emotions on my paintings such as eyes and portraits. I started printmaking last year and I was fascinated with it cause I enjoys making different kinds of strokes when I carve rubber/wood or etch. But through the years in art I also focus on portraying women in my art, my mini thesis was womenhood in the philippines to educate the importance of women in history and society."
