Alds Garfin

The artwork is a tribute iconic cartoon characters and popular artists back then. It simply implies how they influence and mold pur characters from what we are today.

Aldine Marie Garfin, known by her artist name “Alds", is an experimental contemporary visual artist based in Las Piñas City. She graduated with a Fine Arts Major in Advertising at Technological University of the Philippines, Manila. She also joined different National Art competitions for both digital and traditional arts. She is recognized for her exploratory elements and objects combined with her pouring abstract and expressionism style. Alds is fond of making assemblage and sculptures made out of different materials such as wax, clay, epoxy, resin, glass, cloth, paper and scrap objects. Her love for classical stories, novels, and music inspired her to retell in a modern and innovative way. Her artworks were featured at numerous art exhibitions both physical and online platforms. She is currently an Administrator of a small artist community. She strives to build an environment for emerging artists to support, respect and grow together.
