Acrylic on Canvas
48" x 36"
This piece is an expression of how aspiring artists are full of uncertainty. Being in a work-in-progress state, the embodiment of passion and nurturing of one’s creativity, the open-mindedness and strength of one’s self, are manifested all together through the body language and the eyes through the nostalgia of colors.
Katey Oliva is finally on her path to becoming a full-time artist, a dream she had at the ripe age of five. To quote her younger self, “I want to be a ‘drawer’!” Katey is currently taking up her second degree in the University of the Philippines while juggling a full-time job. As she continues to hone her skill in realism, she has opened herself up to new possibilities to develop her craft and discover new mediums. She is a newly inducted member of the Philippine Pastel Artists and she hopes to find similar opportunities to share her art to a community she has longed to be a part of.
